In 2020 the world came to a standstill for a while. We were faced with a pandemic that shook everyone up. But the past year was also one of transformation. For many, the pandemic was a challenge, when it came to work and in relationships with partners, family and friends, education and free time. Yet, happiness and freedom can exist in tandem with these events. Dig deeper into your desires and make them come true.

Onto the year of freedom

Illness, burn out, dismissal, depression, hedged in by an environment that keeps you small, that is also the reality. On the other hand, there are the success stories: budding relationships, insight into new situations and personal development, and those with thriving businesses. Put your 2020 to bed and end it in a way that feels good. 2021 is the year of freedom. Freedom in everything you do, both in your private and professional life, whatever your life theme. The question is: how do you achieve freedom? Freedom to really make your dreams come true in the coming months.

Make your dreams come true with these 3 tips

1. Mindset

Understanding who you really are and what you stand for. Your mindset influences how you perceive yourself and the world around you. With a positive mindset, one that is focused on growth, will take you further than if you stagnate because of a fixed mindset. Every day offers you a new opportunity to choose for positivity. If you notice you are thinking negatively, be aware of it and turn it into a positive thought and feel the difference immediately.

2. Journaling

Take a notebook or journal and answer the questions below every day. Make sure you write at a set time, for example in the morning. Notice how you feel when writing down your answers.

  • What are my goals and desires?
  • How do I want to feel with these goals?
  • What step can I take to day towards achieving this goal?

3. Emotions

Achieving your desires is a step-by-step process. Taking these steps may evoke emotions. Make sure your emotions are in balance, if you notice you are being overwhelmed by, for example, fear, sadness or anger. You can do this by:

  • Reflecting on your emotions and going through them.
  • Asking yourself the question: what is behind this emotion?
  • Once you have insight into this, choose an emotion that suits you, such as enthusiasm.
